Evergreen Park History

Evergreen Park History

Evergreen Park has long been a cornerstone of the Peace Region, rooted in agriculture, community, and connection.

As one of seven regional agricultural societies in Northern Alberta, Evergreen Park was established to support, celebrate, and strengthen agriculture while providing a gathering place for the community. What began as a space focused on agricultural exhibitions and livestock events has grown into a year-round destination for events, entertainment, and regional collaboration.

For generations, Evergreen Park has played an important role in bringing people together, from agricultural fairs and horse racing to community celebrations and family traditions. The park has evolved alongside the region, expanding its facilities, offerings, and programming to reflect the needs of a growing and diverse community.

Today, Evergreen Park is proud to host a wide range of events, including conferences, weddings, festivals, concerts, fundraisers, and signature regional events, while continuing to honor its agricultural roots. The park remains committed to supporting the Peace Region’s agricultural industry through education, events, and partnerships, while also serving as a welcoming space for community connection year-round.

Guided by its mandate as an agricultural society, Evergreen Park balances tradition with progress. Investments in infrastructure, event spaces, and visitor experiences ensure the park remains a sustainable, relevant, and vibrant destination for future generations.

From its early beginnings to its role today as a premier event venue in Northern Alberta, Evergreen Park continues to reflect the spirit of the region it serves: resilient, community-driven, and deeply connected to the land and people of the Peace Region.
